A house should never be just a house.
About ShopSeifA home is a story, told slowly.
It is built in layers — an object here, a color there, a pattern remembered from another life. Nothing arrives finished. Everything is collected.
We design for that kind of home.

Not trend. Not imitation. A point of view.
ShopSeif began in Port Said with a single conviction: that design of real consequence does not need permission from anywhere else.
Every collection carries a question before it carries a color — what deserves to be told? Only once we know does the work begin.

We look before we design.
The harbor at first light. The geometry left behind by old buildings. Salt on plaster. The particular slowness of a coastal town that has always faced two directions at once — inward to Egypt, outward to the sea.
This is not a mood board. It is where the hand learns what to make.
Local, first. Understood everywhere, after.

Textiles are lived with, not looked at.
Underfoot. Under hand. Present at the ordinary moments — and the ones that mattered.
We build pieces meant to outlast the season they were bought in. That is the only luxury we recognize: meaning, held in material, over time.

Nothing here is generated. It is made.
Walking, before drawing. Listening, before color. Iteration, before a single loom is threaded.
Design, to us, is not invention from nothing. It is noticing a relationship no one else has drawn yet — between a wall in Port Said and a rug in someone's living room, ten years from now.

He works from curiosity, not certainty.
Seif founded ShopSeif from a private instinct — the wish to leave a mark — and let it grow into something larger: a design house built to carry Egyptian craft into rooms far from where it began.
The stories are already in the cities, the music, the ordinary week. His task is translation.
Not a home décor label. A design house.
Rugs, textiles, wallpapers, interiors, and the collaborations still to come — each one a different sentence in the same story.
We are not chasing recognition for beautiful objects. We are leaving behind spaces people remember, and a way of seeing that stays with them after they leave the room.

A house should never be just a house.
It should be one of the better stories you live inside.
